M.A.C: My Perfect Pair for the Season

I have really been loving a very simple neutral eye and a bold lip as I most often do for this time of year as the chill begins to fill the air at night and twinkle lights start sparkling, lighting the neighborhoods with that special glow of festivity, I seem to enjoy looking a bit more natural on my eyes and face while keeping my most favorite thing in the world, a bold colored lip on. I recently picked up these two gems and I'm glad I did! Satin Taupe is a beautiful, shimmery sandy/taupe shade with endless possibilities. This is lovely for all over the lid for a soft smokey day look and with a touch of a darker shade in the crease can be turned into a sexy super smoked out eye for a night out. It blends with such ease and doesn't have fall out. I think this is a great color to have in your collection whether you are just starting off you makeup bag and need some go-to essentials or if you practically have your own makeup studio and don't already own this lovely shade, either way this is a perfect edition and it will be gracing my eyes a lot this winter. Now for the bold lip...how do I want my pucker to look under the mistletoe?...Flat Out Fabulous of course. This Retro Matte long-lasting matte shade is a gorgeous fuchsia/pink and a great all around color. I could see using this year round, as for me anyway, this is a very functional shade. Not too Barbie, perfect for day, great with a smokey eye at night, instead of a red lip for a modern pin-up...the list goes on. Matte lips are one of my favorite things for winter. I have no reasoning as to why but hey, as Pascal said "The heart has reasons that reason cannot know." and "Yes please!" and "Pretty!!" are my only reasoning.

So I hope you have enjoyed this and that it has given you some ideas for how you may wear your makeup day-to-day or at the upcoming company holiday party or maybe it has simply gotten your gears turning on what makes you feel special and how just two colors can spark an idea of your own. Let me know what you're rocking this season on here, twitter, or Instagram, I'd love to hear what look you're going for.
