When I first saw the display for the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balms at Walmart while shopping for my coffee creamer and hairspray the other night (random...I know) I was like "What is this voodoo?". How can it be both a balm and also have a matte finish?
But it does! Somehow this product feels like a balm, doesn't dry out my lips and has a matte finish.
I wouldn't say it's super matte like the NYX matte lipsticks or the Retro Matte by MAC, I will say though, that I feel it lives up to it's name. I got the color 240 Striking Spectaculaire (That is how it's spelt). I bought this not sure if I'd post about it as it was an impulse purchase, but I was surprised at how good it looked and how pigmented it was. I thought it may be just a wash of color or have to be applied super thickly to achieve the color of the packaging. My worries were gone as soon as I slid the color across my lips.
I say if you like a matte (semi-matte) finish and want something that isn't drying I suggest giving the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm a go! PS...they have a sweet-minty scent, that I really like. You can't beat the price of $6.40 at Walmart either. Yay!
