Dark Snow White Lips

I was listening to some metal music the other day while I was doing my makeup and I always
find that whatever I'm listening to is reflected in my end result. I loved the way the lips came out and wore it to work. A lot of people asked me how I did it or what I used and the beginning of the idea was
born for this post.

I love Snow White because she is powerful due to her kindness and pure heart. Sometimes you've got to pop some of that power on the outside and I always say that lipstick is like war paint, put it on and you feel powerful. I recently read that Too Faced Cosmetics' co-founder Jerror Blandino said that makeup is "...a powerful ally and a personal set of lady balls." and that is too true. There is a reason makeup is so used in theater and film, because you can tell your audience who a character is and how to address them quickly. Makeup is that way in life as well. I change my makeup almost everyday and people treat me differently depending on my makeup. Soft and angelic = Approachable. Smokey eye and a bold lip = Less Approachable. This is how we perceive things, sweet, soft and gentle appearance equals just that, sweet soft and gentle. Daring, statement making and bold also is just that. When I decided to show how to do this look a somehow thought of Snow White she was all these things, sweet, soft, gentle, daring, statement making and bold. Besides...why should the villains get to wear all the dramatic stuff?
What you'll need:
Urban Decay: O-Zone 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil
Urban Decay: Perversion 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
Urban Decay: Catfight Revolution Lipstick
Urban Decay: Shame Revolution Lipstick
Start by lining the outer rim of your lips with O-Zone. This will stop colors from bleeding.
Now take Catfight and put it just in the center part of your lips, creating a doll like effect.
Next apply Shame to the outer corners.
Time to blend them together a bit by rubbing your lips together ever so gently.
Take Perversion all along the outer corners of your lips, tracing over Shame. You can just do the outer corners or you can go all the way around your lips for a darker effect.
Time to blend again.
I chose to go in with the Perversion again and do the whole outer portion of my mouth and then went back to the center with Catfight and blended.
The finished look is this! (Apple optional)

I hope this was as fun to read as it was to shoot and write. Please like,
share, comment and subscribe if you enjoyed this. Let me know if there are any other princesses you would like me to give a darker edge to and I just may have to.
I appreciate everyone who reads my posts, you make my day.
xoxo, Amanda
