The Music & My Makeup: An Artistic Trial Day 3

So This is my final day of trying to find inspiration in music. If you missed the first two
days and want to catch up, click here for Day 1 and Day 2. Today I had trouble picking a song that was making me feel excited for some reason, but in the end I did pick one. It's interesting how a song can translate to a look you may not think of or you may do something with this song I never would have thought of. It has been really fun doing this and I highly recommend giving it a try if you can.
Today's look ended up being a sort of an Egyptian cat eye with shades of pink and silver and gold glitter.I used a lighter color than I normally do to fill my brows to give the look balance and to make my eyes the stand out for this look.
Today's song was Who Needs You by The Orwells.
Urban Decay just released the shade South as a single shadow, before only available in the Glinda palette. Unfortunately the Glinda palette was Limeted Edition, but UD does carry many shades that could be used to get a simalar look.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Genious Gel Foundation in 14 Ivory Medium
Nars Illuminator in Copacabana
Nars  Blush in New Order
NYX Blush in Taupe
Benefit Erase Paste in 1 Light
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in Chocolate and Ebony
Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Zephyr
Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Glitter Glue
Benefit Watt's Up
Rimmel ScandalEyes Gel Eye Liner
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
Urban Decay Heavy Metal in Midnight Cowboy

I hope you have enjoyed this trio of music posts. I know it's a bit conceptual, but I enjoyed
doing it very much, it has gotten me excited about the creation process of makeup yet again. I was considering how art can be a sort of finite resource (artist block is a real thing) that most artist fear running out of or using up all their best. That is a strange, but understandable thing to fear as art/inspiration comes from a place that you can not just go out and buy more of if you run out or need more. Hmm... Don't forget to follow if you'd like to see more from me here or on Bloglovin'. I'm also on TwitterInstagram & Tumblr! Thanks for reading! <3
xoxo, Amanda
