Tarte: Bon Voyage Collector's Set & Travel Bag

It's that time of year...when Sephora has so many good holiday sets choosing becomes an issue.
I am writing this post in a sweater and I'm loving it. Southern Nevada has finally gotten its cold snap and its a chilly 55 degrees outside. I love this weather, but let's talk about what you really wanted to here about. (Unless you came here looking for weather patterns, then, I think you have the wrong blog. haha) Tarte has launched a beautiful holiday line this year. I have written a post on the holiday blusher set already, here.
This set includes a beautiful makeup bag, along with an eye shadow palette (20 shadows in all), a lip tint, a lip gloss, a deluxe sample size of Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara, a cheek stain in a limited edition shade, a mini bottle of Maracuja Oil and a finishing powder.

If you have read my last post on the Tarte holiday line you may remember that that its inspiration was France and femininity and that is perfectly reflected in this set and specifically in the names of the eye shadows themselves.
There are 12 matte shades, 7 shimmers and 1 glitter shade. The matte shades are very pigmented and blend well. I wouldn't say that they blend as well as other mattes such as Urban Decay, but they are 100% workable and lovely. The shimmers are very smooth and are pigmented nicely, the glitter tone is just that, mostly glitter which is perfect for the festive season. The shade and tones are all very feminine and could be used for any look, from a Victoria's Secret Angel look to a smokey, vampy eye, it is all doable with this palette.
Romance is a buttery tip tint and is a "my lips but better" color along with the gloss Visionary being in the same tone family. The gloss is a non-sticky formula and both lip products leave the lips hydrated. Muse is a lightly shimmery mauve-rose, pink tone that is very natural. If you are a reader of my blog you will know I already love the Mascara, the Maracuja Oil and the cheek stain formula.
I picked this set after wondering around Sephora for about a half hour and this was the winner. I think this is an amazing bang for your buck, priced at $59.00 this is an amazing gift for yourself or a makeup lover in your life. I picked this up also because my mom and I are planning a trip for after the new year to visit Seattle and I thought this set would be ideal for travel.

I hope you found this post to be helpful whether assembling a Holiday wish list for your friends
and family or yourself. What holiday product do you have your eye on and does this set make your wish list. Tell me in the comments and remember Christmas is only 5 weekends away.
xoxo, Amanda
