When I saw these palettes were going to be launching I wanted one right away. I didn't know
which one I wanted, I just knew I wanted one of them. I ended up picking Monochrome as I thought it would be beautiful for Spring.
1 is a very sheer, matte ivory shade that is very smooth.
2 is a satin-sheen, rose hued taupe that has a buttery texture.
3 is a super pretty, satin-sheen, dusty, warm, rose color. This shade is a little chalky in pan but smooth and blendable on the lid.
4 is a dusty, rose under toned, matte, mauve. The texture is similar to 3.
5 is a deep, matte, chocolate, plum. This one is a little tricky to blend at first but if you use 4 as a transition color you'll be fine.
I am very happy with this palette. Is it revolutionary? No. There are other palettes that aren't as pricey and just as nice. However, this palette is beautiful and as a bit of a palette lover I couldn't help myself. It's also very compact compared to other palettes of it's kind. I really think this palette is going to be perfect for brides and bridal parties which makes it great for me! I have my eye on the Graphite palette, within the range...we'll see.
I hope you liked this post and that it gave you a bit of insight into the new Hourglass Modernist
eyeshadow palettes. Tell me, would you get one of these palettes for $58. or is that too much?
