Blushing for Spring

Spring has sprung and I thought I'd jump off of the post I did last week, here, and talk about one of
my favorite things about spring/summer...bright cheeks! I just think that there are few things that can make a look more healthy at this time of year than a fresh flush. It looks like you're active and adds a sense of playfulness to a look. These are my top four blushes for the sunny season.

Tarte Cheek Stains in True Love & Flush:
True Love is a lovely strawberry jam color and Flush is a bit more raspberry/purple toned color. I love both for creating a natural sheer (yet buildable) kiss of color. They look very natural on bare skin for a pop a color or on top of a foundation. I recommend using your fingers to apply and blend this product, using a patting motion. These colors have matching lip tints as well, though I like to apply a lip balm and then pat the cheek stain on top.

NYX Blush in Red & Cinnamon:
These are the best affordable blushes ever! I have spoken about these before and my love for them remains. I always use a duo-fiber brush when using these pigmented, bright shades and they create very natural color. Cinnamon gives the skin an almost sun kissed look, like when you've spent a bit of time at the beach and your cheeks, nose and chin get a little too much sun and that red tone comes out. It sounds strange but looks so beautiful and this is a way to get that look without the lack of sun block. Red is more of a blushing shade that give a romantic look when applied to the apples of the cheeks.

What are your go to blushes for spring/summer? Tell me in the comments! I have my eye on Tarte's
Blissful Cheek Stain, but I'd love some recommendations.
