Putting Together a Workspace

If you are a beauty blogger and/or a makeup artist the products starts to pile up and your workspace
begins to become harder and harder to manage. It was time for me to get a new desk. I looked at the ever classic Alex drawer sets and desks for Ikea and they just weren't me. I like to mix industrial/weathered looking pieces along with smaller feminine touches here and there. So I headed back to where I found my last set of organization pieces, a post on those here, World Market.
I saw this and it was like "There you are!" I have been hunting for a desk for over six months and nothing felt right until this. It has three drawers and four shelves. It features lightly distressed wood and rivet design. I'm thinking about getting different hardware. If I do I'll fill you guys in. I also plan to get drawer organizers from Ikea. My mom and I assembled this desk and it was very simple. The top was already put together in the box, so we just had to assemble the legs and shelves.
These are also distressed and I would say vintage in style. I decided to use one as a sort of drawer on one of the desk shelves and the other as a way to store my records as my collection is slowly building.
I got this a while back and I can not for the life of me find it on the website. I'm not sure if they're still carrying it or what but they had it in store still when I was just there.
I got this as a place to keep my pencils I use to do face charting. It just works perfectly with the desk and I love it so much!!
Multicolor Peony Bunch: I also took Mason Jars to hold lipstick pencils and glosses and then one for some fake flowers that I also got from World Market. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers so I just had to.

My office/makeup room is getting closer to being a finished room. I am starting to feel it
coming together and being more organized. As someone with anxiety having a tidy workspace that feels comforting to be in helps so much. I am so pleased with the quality of all these things. What is your ideal workspace style? Minimalist, chic, colorful? Tell me in the comments!
