Recently you may have heard that Lush Cosmetics has opened a three story shop on Oxford St. in
London. Well, I have yet to make my way across the pond to check it out myself...yet. Luckily I have two friends who each had trips to England and so generously picked me up some goodies exclusive to the towering Lush shop of dreams. A sort of Lush department store. *sigh* Enough chatter, lets get down to what I'm sure you want to know about; the products.
Into The Shower:
Lord of Misrule Moisturizing Shower Cream:
I adore the Lord Of Misrule perfume from Lush, As founder Mark Constantine says "Perfume is the point.". That is well displayed in every Lush shop. Lord Of Misrule was originally an autumnal bath bomb launch in 2013, which reappeared the following year. Since, it has been made into a limited edition perfume and now an exclusive shower cream. Filled with the scent of Fair Trade Vanilla, Black Pepper Oil and Patchouli. It is sweet spicy and warming. It smells of the fall.
Yuzu And Cocoa Moisturizing Shower Cream:
When I heard this was being made into a shower cream (a hydrating shower gel) I welled with the idea. It smells like the well known Bubbleroon from Lush that smells like Orange and Chocolate with the same name. It's like a creamy dessert. I have another trip planned to Seattle and I'm waiting to use it then. I can't wait.
Wash That Man Right Out Of Your Hair Shower Gel:
This shower gel is an interesting mixture of floral and tropical fruit notes. With a mixture of Lavender Flower, Jasmine Flower and a Rose Petal Infusion topped with Fresh Fig Juice, Fresh Guava Juice and grounding Sandalwood Oil. I can not wait to use this shower gel. It some how smells to me like a memory from my childhood and like nothing else at the same time.
93,000 Miles Shower Jelly:
This smells like one of my first Lush loves Wiccy Magic Muscle Bar. If you've never used a shower jelly before it is a glycerin and seaweed base, that is, basically, a soap that is a jelly. You can wash with it from the fridge or freezer or just rip a chunk off and put it in a shower puff. This one was made for sore muscles. First it has a Eucalyptus and Mint Infusion. (Eucalyptus, being a rare ingredient in Lush products.) with those two cooling ingredients followed by a hot one, being Cinnamon Leaf Oil and than some chilling Peppermint Oil. This scent is right up my alley!
Smooth & Hydrated:
Damaged Hot Oil Treatment:
Founder Mark Constantine, as I've mentioned in the past, is a hair doctor or Trichologist. At the new Oxford St. location there are hot oil hair treatments...on a stick. You simply melt down the oil into a bit of hot water and stir with the attached stick. You may recall a few months ago I lightened my hair a bit at the ends. I thought I should try this. This treatment has Fair Trade Vanilla Absolute, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Almond Oil and Organic Avocado Oil. To me that sounds like a nice way to make it up to my hair for putting it through the lightening process.
Buttered Brazils Lip Balm:
Lush has fab lip balm. The best I've ever had. This one smells just like their Popcorn Lip Scrub. This lip balm is a touch lighter in feel but just as hydrating. With Fair Trade Shea Butter, Brazil Nut Oil, Cupuacu Butter and Dark Chocolate this balm is a delicious treat.
In this 117F degree heat with about 3 percent humidity, feet need all the help they can get. This foot scrub with the tag line 'Scrub me like you do.' is a sudsy pumice bar that is filled with Coconut Oil, Rapeseed Oil and Sweet Orange Oil for fresh feet.
Go Faster Feet:
This foot lotion is anti fungal with a Capirona Bark Decoction. It is also ultra hydrating with a Moringa Leaf infusion, Moringa Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, alongside Kalahari Melon and Olibanum Oil. This lotion is meant to rehydrate and heal tired feet when you need to keep going.
Into The Bath:
When I saw this was Peppermint and Lemon bath oil I knew I needed it. Just pop it in your bath and the Organic Shea Butter and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter melt into the water. Hydrate, relax, and soak.
MMMelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt: (Circular pink and yellow)
We have this little number in the states but it looks much different. Much more like a pink cupcake. This melt is a healing with Chamomile Powder, Marshmallow Powder and Marigold Powder. The ingredient list is a bit longer on this than the cupcake with the same name. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Almond Oil are a softening bonus.
Johnny Appleseed Bath Oil: (Bright apple green)
It smells like you'd imagine; an apple orchard, but since apple doesn't have an essential oil, it sports an uplifting blend of Neroli Oil, Lemon Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil and Cinnamon Stick.
Cloak Of Invisibility Bath Truffle: (Orange and gold shimmer)
Floral and grounded this shimmering read and gold melting, bath truffle is something to 'shield yourself from reality'. Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil and Rosewood Oil. I can't wait to try this one out! Perhaps a bit of Harry Potter should be watched while soaking in this bath.
Lime Pastille: (Green with lustre)
This is a fruit, zesty scent. Filled with Lime and Cassia Oil with Organic Shea Butter and Organic Jojoba Oil.
This sweet and grounded bubble bath is as lovely in scent as it is beautiful. With Almond Essential Oil, Rosewood Oil, Cidarwood Oil and a touch of Sicilian Lemon Oil this bubble bath is a treat.
So that's everything! I'm so thankful to have had these brought back to me and that they survived
the long journey in equally intact pieces. I look forward to savoring the use of all of these. What are you dying to try from Lush Oxford Street? Tell me in the comments!
