Reviewed: Bite Frozen Berries Matte Creme Lipstick

I've been wanting to try Bite Beauty for a long time now. I've just been waiting to find the shade
that was a must have. I was wandering my Sephora and these new shades from Bite, inspired by frozen berries, stuck out to me. I am a sucker for a deep, vampy, berry toned lip product, as you may know by now, if you read my blog regularly.

Right away I was drawn to the shade Elderberry. If you don't know about Bite they make their lip products for natural and food grade ingredients. 97% natural in the case of this lipstick. Their thinking is if you put it on your mouth it should be healthy to eat, because you are going to ingest some of your lipstick. This lipstick is filled with nutrients for the skin and tons of antioxidants, along with omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, found in cranberry oil.

Formula:
Now first off, in no way, shape or form is this as it says, 'matte'. I was a little bummed about that. I mean when it says matte and it's 100% satin finish, it's a little bit of a let down. Moving on from that; the formula feels nice, though it requires a lip liner, as it's not the most smudge proof of products. The color is rich and has a natural tone that is, well, like a crushed berry. I also like this dabbed on for just a wash of a berry tone on the lips. It looks very natural that way.

It doesn't dry out my lips at all and leaves a stain on the lips when I wipe it off. The formula does need reapplication after eating and after a couple hours of wear. Over all I am pleased with the product and excited about the brand. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of matte. I'm not blown over by it and dashing out to buy more but I'm going to keep an eye out for more from the brand.

Have you tried Bite before? If so what are your thoughts? Any product suggestions? Let me
know! I would love to hear what you think about this brand because I want to learn more from you guys!
