I haven't done an All That or All Chat in a while, so if you don't know what I mean by that, it's
just my version of Hot or Not; seeing if a product is in fact hot because it's all that everyone says it is or just a bunch of chatter. Well, Luna Sleeping Oil from Sunday Riley is one of those products. I hadn't heard too much about Sunday Riley until everyone was buzzing about this face oil. Everyone and there best friend was raving online and I just had to know...was it all that or all chat? This face oil is priced at $105. which isn't too bad for good skincare, if it was in fact, good skincare.
This face oil has a long list of fine ingredients like Cold Pressed Avocado, Chia, Concord Grape Seed Oil along with Neroli Oil, Retinol Complex and Blue Tansy, just to name a few. I was really impressed by the high quality list of ingredients in this oil and by how many are cold pressed, which explains the price.
With a powerful retinol complex, Luna helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while simultaneously correcting damage caused by the sun, time, and pollution. Use this oil before bed to notice firmer, clearer skin by morning. Trans-retinol ester fights the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of skin elasticity while an essential oil complex calms and soothes skin. Blue tansy, combined with German chamomile and cold pressed avocado, chia, and concord grape seed oils, sink into skin for quick absorption of actives, leaving skin polished and radiant. Blue tansy pure essential oil possesses calming and anti-inflammatory properties, which aid in the support of healthy skin. The oil restores dry, dehydrated skin and reduces redness to a reveal a more balanced, even-toned complexion. High in azulene, the aroma also has soothing effects.
All of the above claims are directly linked to the ingredient list. Every claim has a reason and a proven effect. That is a very rare thing in cosmetics/skincare. I am a bit of a ingredient enthusiast so I have some knowledge on the effects of different oils and nothing being claimed here can not be tide to the list on the back of the bottle and I must applaud that.
Sunday Riley is a brand mixing chemistry and nature by using both to compliment each other. A lovely fusion on science and earth. For instance; Retinols can dry the skin, but also help with sun damage and with anti aging, yet this ingredient is balanced with Chamomile, Avocado and Rosemary to soothe, rehydrate, and balance.
I wanted to really give my skin a chance to see how it liked this product so I gave myself a little over a month to sort out all my thoughts. My skin does feel replenished and bright in the morning and I noticed a couple fine lines (that had been annoying me) lessen. I was honestly surprised. I examined my face in a magnified mirror just so I could really see my skin and any improvements. At first I did not think I would buy this again but now that I am over a month in I really love it. I am 100% going to say this is all that and I will be trying more from the brand.
Do you like face oils? Do you have any Sunday Riley products to recommend or that you'd like
