I know the year isn't over yet, but I feel like I need to touch on a few of the things thathave happened this year, where I see Lipstick Is A Life going, and more. I have had an amazing time this year and I am amazed that this is my third holiday season blogging. This year has been a bit more overwhelming than the last, though. I am now working full time along with running this blog and it has been hard to balance. I love blogging and all of the friends I've made through it. I feel so bad that I haven't been commenting on all their wonderful post as much. So to find more balance going forward I'm going to be doing two posts a week instead of three. I am trying to make my life a little less stressful and produce better content by not feeling pressured.
This year has really been a one of change and moving forward. I have been so blessed to see my blog grow, make some blogging friends and create content I am more and more pleased with. I see the improvement and I feel proud. If you have been reading my blog regularly you may remember that I went to Seattle twice this year. I haven't really spoken about the full reason (aside from vacation) as to why. My family and I are planning a move. We are currently in Southern Nevada and have been here fourteen years. Although I have been blessed to make wonderful friends here the culture has never been our cup of tea. We have always said that we didn't plan to stay forever and we are now looking to move from the desert and back to some evergreens and water. I am originally from San Jose, California (40 minutes outside San Francisco) and we have missed the lifestyle that we loved there and have found in Washington as well. This new year will unfold all these plans and I'll take you all along with me. It's funny that as a four year old I remember saying "one day I will move to Seattle, because I love the rain, I don't like the sun that much." and if things unfold as planned I will be right.
I have to tell you how grateful I am that you are reading this, honestly, it is amazing to have people who care to hear what you have to say about life, makeup, style, and travel. I am still amazed and excited to see comments and shares on my blog and it has been an amazing creative outlet for my life. I have been able to join a community of people sharing tips and tricks and bits of themselves with the world and I am in love with it...even when it's hard and a lot of work. So I have to tell you all THANK YOU!! I am so grateful for anyone taking time to reach out, comment, share, and like. You blow me away.
Looking forward, as before mentioned, I will be going to posting Monday and Wednesday, possibly a Friday on the last week of the month. I have some new styles of blog post in mind, so please give me your kind and constructive feedback. I am going to try to be better with Monthly Favorites and doing more of the Music Mondays, 15 Minute Faces and beauty inspiration post as requested. I am really excited for the new year and these exciting changes that will keep me not only excited, but less overloaded.
Thank you again for both your time and interest in my blog. It has been an amazing yearfilled with challenges, growth, scary changes, exciting changes, new experiences, beautiful products, even more beautiful people and of course...lipstick. Keep an eye out for a NYE Look that is going to be in the style of one of the new kinds of posts I'm going to be trying out this year. Have a Merry Christmas!
