After a winter of being covered up and out of the sun sometimes it can seem a bit ghostly wearing
shorts or a sun dress. I thought some of you may be feeling the same way. These tips and products look amazing with or without a kiss of color and just make your face and body glow and catch the light for a luminous look.
Becca - Backlight Priming Filter
This is perfect to mix with body lotion and put on the tops of the shoulder, collar bones, chest, and even the arms. It has a very soft glow to it and it looks stunning for special occasions. This is the most subtle way to get a glow.
Becca - Shimmer Skin Perfector (shown in Moonstone & Opal)
Mix any of the shades in the range with your favorite body moisturizer and you can decide how glowy you want to get. This gives the skin a radiance and is more glow than bronze. These look amazing all over the body. If you are on the fairer side of things using one of the darker shades mixed in with your lotion will give you a more sun kissed look.
Caudalie - Devine Legs
I reviewed this product last spring, here, but this is basically a tinted body lotion that is more like a makeup than a sunless tanner. This wash away, shimmering lotion can be used to give an enhanced kiss of color to the skin. Use after you catch a bit of sun to turn up the glow. Because it catches the light it helps to give a soft focus look to the skin. I have used this on my body for an all over glow. This product works for all skin tones. Not intended for the face.
Inglot - Sparkling Dust (shown in 02)
This is another product you can mix in with a lotion or use a powder puff or fluffy brush to apply right where you want it. It gives a very shimmery effect and comes in a wide range of shades. This is a fun look for a night out or if you want a little more of a shimmer than glow.
Remember that all of these will function as a body makeup so they will wash off. They won't last through a dip in the pool or any kind of heavy sweating, but they look lovely out shopping or to a dinner out.
Do you like the idea of an all over body glow? Do you prefer a sunless tanner? Tell me in the comments if you think you would use any of these tips to get a luminous all over look.
