We all see the "cult classic" beauty products all over social media. Some are amazing and some, well,
not so much. This, thankfully, is the former. Oh my goodness, there is a reason everyone is obsessed with the Laura Mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder! Priced at $38. it is beyond worth the it.
This is the finest loose powder I've ever used. It practically melts into the skin leaving a velvety finish that doesn't look cakey. Though it is powder it is still luminous and skin like. This is the first powder that has given me the look I really want for setting the under eye while also preventing creasing. It doesn't leave the skin dry or flat looking. A++ in my book! Though translucent the powder isn't white so there is no flashback and because of the natural yellow toned shade it really can work on almost all skin tones.
The packaging is a simple and luxurious. Laura Mercier is a high end brand and the packaging says it all. The holes in the sifter are just right so that too much product isn't coming out and the jar holds 1.oz or 29g.
Laura Mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder is $38 for 29g = $1.31 per gram
MAC - Prep & Prime Translucent Powder is $26 for 9g = $2.88 per gram
Tarte Cosmetics - Smooth Operator Clay Setting Powder is $33 for 9.07g = $3.63 per gram
Make Up For Ever - HD Microfinish Powder is $35 for 8.5g = $4.11 per gram
(Not comparing formulation, just product amount.)
This is a home run! From formula to finish this powder feels and looks amazing. My makeup has been lasting longer. The price, though not cheap, when considered with the compared gram pricing it's actually an amazing deal and a powder you won't be repurchasing as often due to the volume you get. Love! I suggest this product in the highest regard.
